3dvision is a free online 3D viewer that runs entirely in your browser. Open a scan or model, inspect it in Shaded, Wireframe or Points view, apply a cinematic effect, then export a video or a screenshot. There is nothing to install and no account to create.
OBJ (with its .mtl file and texture images), STL, PLY, GLB, SPLAT, SPZ and ASC point clouds. Texture images can be selected alongside the model or added afterwards.
No. Every file you open is read and parsed locally by your browser, so your models never leave your device. There is no upload step and nothing is stored on our side.
Yes. 3DGS PLY files, .splat and .spz render as anisotropic splats with depth sorting. When a PLY carries f_rest coefficients you can switch the SH degree between 0 and 3 for view-dependent colour.
Large OBJ files and binary Gaussian PLY files are streamed and parsed in chunks behind a single progress readout, so scans of several hundred megabytes open without freezing the tab. Very large splat files are sampled to fit the memory available on your device.
Select the .obj, its .mtl and the texture images together. If you only have the model at hand, open it first and then add the .mtl and images — the viewer reapplies the textures and keeps your current camera position.
On a computer, drag with the left mouse button to rotate, hold Ctrl (⌘ on Mac) and drag to pan, and scroll the wheel to zoom. On phones and tablets, one finger rotates, two fingers move the model and a pinch zooms.
Yes. Every effect card has a Share button that records the animation and downloads it — MP4 where the browser supports it, otherwise WebM. Aspect ratio (16:9 or 9:16) and quality (720p, 1080p or 4K) are chosen in the help menu, and each clip closes on a branded outro.
Basic Spin turns the model through a full revolution, Organic Growth reveals it outward from its base, Particle Assemble converges it from scattered particles, and Grand Arrival dollies out through a galaxy backdrop.
Yes. The Appearance panel offers Linear, Neutral, ACES and ACES2 tone mapping, plus the SH degree for Gaussian splats. You can also switch between light and dark viewing themes, toggle the ground grid and orientation gizmo, and hide the whole interface with Focus mode.
